    F orms Meal Preparation Reimbursement Form Job Descriptions Kitchen Facilitator - Volunteers needed! ​ This position helps facilitate volunteer teams that are providing a meal at ReFuel Washougal. As a facilitator, your role is not to “be in charge”, but rather to be a resource to the Volunteer Teams “Person in Charge” to ensure that Volunteer Teams are following proper practices in the preparation and serving the ReFuel Meal. ​ Contact us for more information!


    Severe Weather Shelter "Offering life-saving shelter from freezing temperatures and inclement weather." During severe winter weather there is a shortage of overnight shelter in Clark County. ReFuel Washougal, in partnership with the City of Washougal, spearheads efforts to meet this need in East County whenever the weather forecast predicts snow, freezing rain, or temperatures below 30 F. ​ Goals To provide a welcoming, safe place to sleep, simple food, and access to a bathroom during severe weather events To provide volunteers with the training and support needed for a safe and meaningful experience To be a community that cares by showing compassion for our fellow community members, specifically those who are most vulnerable during severe weather conditions ​ Operational Overview All are welcome Capacity: 20 guests Hours of Operation: 6:00 pm to 7:00 am Days of Service: Declared severe weather events - forecast of 30 F or less, snow and/or freezing rain* *We can only open if we have volunteer capacity for any given night ​ Additional Local Resources Council for the Homeless 211info City of Vancouver ​ Volunteers Needed Washougal's Severe Weather Shelter and all of ReFuel's services operate on the kindness of volunteers.
