Robert Barber

Chair

Ever since moving to Washougal 5 years ago, Robert has been an active part of the community.  Besides ReFuel, he serves on the C W Chamber board, and the Unite Washougal Leadership.  

When he is not volunteering, Robert enjoys riding his motorcycle, hiking the beautiful Columbia River Gorge and spending time with family and friends, and of course working his day job as Pastor of St Matt's Lutheran Church.

Ann Stevens

Co-Chair

Ann works for the Washougal School District and has deep roots within the community through her work with Unite! Washougal and Washougal Business Association. She is also and Advisor with the CCSO Explorer program.nShe moved here in 2003 with her husband and two boys that have both graduated from Washougal High School. She wants to help community members in need through her work with Refuel Washougal.

Leann Wilkins

Secretary

Leann, a lifelong resident and graduate of Washougal High School, works at

iQ Credit Union. Her educational accomplishments include an Associate's degree in Accounting and a diploma from Western CUNA Management School, a powerful development program for credit union professionals.

Her purpose for Refuel is to create a stronger community for her family and friends.

Tamara Dinius

 

Treasurer

Tamara became a resident of Washougal nearly 34 years ago. She is a self-employed artist with an Associate's degree from Clark College and is currently working towards a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management. She has assisted in numerous booster clubs, parent advisory committees, Washougal Schools Foundation, Girl Scouts (leader for 12 years), and other community organizations. She strongly feels the desire to give back to the community that is experiencing growth and change.

Dominique Love

Co-Treasurer

Before moving here she went exploring one afternoon and found Washougal.  That evening she told her husband that she knew where they were going to live, she fell in love with the city.  They moved here in the fall of 2011 and have loved every minute.  She works for the Washougal School District as a custodian.

When not at work she loves to sew, play outside in the garden and cook.  She loves serving others whenever she has the chance and she loves working with Refuel and getting to know the other board members as well as the wonderful patrons of Refuel.  

Rose Jewell

City Liaison

Rose joined the City in 1997, working in Community Development through 2011, at which time she became the Assistant to the City Administrator and Mayor. She is a graduate of the Sharon Lance School of Business and has certifications through Community Mediation Services (CMS) and the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI). Her mission is to create a cohesive relationship between local government and the community it serves.  

AJ Bogue

Member at Large

AJ is  currently the President of the DWA board of Directors. He is also on the board for Refuel. He has been volunteering for over 50 years. 

( started when he was 8 ) He was the youngest Board member ever for the New Mexico Zoological society at 19.  He has worked as a Police Officer and FireFighter as well as a Medic. And worked for 911 also. He is also co owner of Smoking BBq Buds and runs the NW Alternative Med Clinic.

Hobbies : He enjoys cooking and teaching cooking classes in his spare time and loves hot-rods and classic cars and Good Beer.

Fran Whitmeyer

Member at Large

Fran began community volunteering as a child alongside of her mother in Richardson, Texas and hasn’t stopped. She has her Bachelor's degree in Business/Operations Management and Cost Accounting.

In the summer of 2011, she and her family were transferred to the PNW and in 2014 they settled in Washougal.

She volunteers her time as a Kitchen Coordinator ReFuel Washougal, as a reading buddy at Hathaway Elementary School, and as the outreach coordinator for “Backpack Friday” at  St Anne’s Episcopal on Main Street.  She is involved in various other activities as well.

Fran enjoys learning about the beautiful PNW, her new home, gardening, cooking, cross stitch, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.

Margaret McCarthy

Board Advisor

Margaret works as a drug-free community grant coordinator. She raised three children in this wonderful community and wants to help make our home a place in which everyone has access to the resources that he or she need in order to thrive. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis.

Margie Shoemaker

Board Advisor

Margie was born in South Dakota and moved here at age six. She is a graduate of Camas High School and has always been a volunteer. She states that she “got that from my dad”, he was always helping someone and encouraged us to do the same.

She has been active in the community and was a Girl Scout Leader for over 10 years. She also heads up the Festival of Trees committee and has been on the Refuel Board for the past few years.
